# Mazda B-4000 overdrive trans problem

When in overdrive and I start ascending a hill, it feels like the transmission wants to downshift, but won’t. Instead, the truck starts to buck. This bucking continues unless I mash the gas pedal and force the downshift. The local dealer could not fix the problem.
