# Lexus 4WD and power steering

I just bought a 2007 Lexus RX 350. On the first day, I accelerated while going around a sharp turn. The power steering shut off for about three seconds. The dealer cannot find anything wrong, and it hasn’t happened again.  
  
 Any suggestions for the cause?

Does this vehicle have the traditional hydraulic-assist power steering, or does it have electric-assist power steering?

According to the Lexus service dept, the power steering on the Lexus RX 350 is a hydraulic assist.

Have the tension of the serpentine belt checked.  
Even if it is not making any noise, it may be slipping.
