Landrover discovery 2001 SE runs rough at 35 MPH

Hi:

I have a used Landrover Disco 2001 w/ 127 K miles on it. It runs smoothly until it hits around 35 MPH…then feels like it might stall out even though it hasn’t…then its fine again after 40 MPH…it was checked out by the local mech. who ran it on a computer check (?) and said that there was nothing in memory-

Could it be the timing belt…or ???

If your Disco is a V8 it has a timing chain, only diesel TDIs have a timing belt. Your mechanic needs to do a little more than just check codes to diagnose this problem.

There may be a bad spot on the throttle position sensor causing the trouble.
