I’m not familiar with how the air bags are mounted in the headliner and I hope that the tape doesn’t show. I suppose it will be used as a hinge reinforcement. It it’s visible, that’s a heck of a red neck fix. ---

Wonder what will happen to that tape when exposed to a year or two of heat from the sunlight… It would seem on the surface that some type of epoxy would work better but even that comes across as a bit shoddy. Key phrase as in most things is “keep it cheap”.
