I have a 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with 181,000 miles on it. I was thinking of getting a new car, but decided on keeping this one in hopes of saving money.

It runs good, no major repairs. I replaced the alternator, struts, wheel bearings, and exhaust.

Are there any other things that I can expect to replace? Or is there preventative maintenance that I should do.

Most of the work was done by me or a friend, so a mechanic hasn’t had a chance to look at it much. I’d like it to see 250,000 miles and beyond.

 Any advice would be appreciated.
