Hey Glenn, You Forgot To Introduce Your Jeep!

Give us some more information. How about year, miles, engine, transmission, and whatever else you’ve got.

Describe how you know it’s overheating, please.

Have you checked the coolant level or anything else?

Engine belt(s) still on and not slipping?

That’s your problem. If that fan doesn’t kick on, there’s no air passing through the radiator to cool the coolant when sitting still. Check the fan motor and the fan relay for proper operation.

I had the same problem with my jeep. The fan relay is in the front passenger side quarter panel behind the lights. A pain to find and fix. The mechanic wanted to slap the engineer on that one.
