Tailgators and swerving on the interstate when you can move into another travel lane to get away is one thing, but having one on your asteroid while driving 55 plus and having a car back suddenly out into traffic on a two lane undivided road and the only escape lane you have is the opposing oncoming traffic lane, is the stupidest thing a driver can do to put everyone at risk. .
I can’t tell you how much more aggravated it makes me feel in those situations as opposed to interstates. I was driving to work one time with another SUV on my SUV bumper on one of these roads. Much to my surprise, the car followed me into the school parking lot and out stepped my boss, our new principal. I can’t tell how inconsiderate drivers match inconsiderate people, but the principal, thankfully, only lasted a few years… There has to be some correlation.
I am very tempted ( would nev do it) to get a flash light with a blue filter and flash it through the rear window when idiots follow too close. There are so many unmarked police SUVs, anyone can be a cop. Ultimately, if nothing else works, I put on my right blinker and leave it on and pretend I’m the doddering old fool, out for a Sunday drive. It works and I really don’t have to pretend.
