which brand has the best cost for maitenance and repair ---

Consumer Reports Annual Auto Issue in April shows Automaker report cards for the manufacturers. In 2009, Top four: Honda, Subaru, Toyota, Mazda. [Edmunds.com](http://Edmunds.com) also provides similar level info. Keep in mind every manufacturer has some big losers. ---

At one time, CR supplied both frequency of repair, and cost figures. There can be a difference. Older VW. Volvo. MB. Still, some folks simply do not mind a bit more cost, and are willing to take higher costs to get a car they really like, over one that is cheaper but puts them to sleep.
