# Ignition Screech

My 2001 Nissan Sentra has started screeching when I turn the ignition key. It generally happens when the car is not warmed up.

Do it soon or you will be replacing the flywheel as well. That gets expensive.

I’ve heard serpentine belts do this too.

I’d start by popping the hood, sticking my head under, having someone start the motor, and see if I could hear where it’s originating from.
