Ideas for displaced mechanic?

Does your brother own a house? Does he have a little extra land? I’ve seen people run their own shops at home. One motorcycle mechanic I know, runs a motorcycle shop in a garage he built next to his home. My cousin does the same thing, but he works on cars. My uncle, who is now a retired machinist, built a shop on his land and did a little work on the side. He built his shop for his own hobby use.
