# IAC check engine on a 95 maxima

I am getting a code 0505 on a 95max. But the idle is fine (only had the car for about 1 month so the only experience is in hot weather)

It will need inspecting next month. I guess first step is to clean IAC and TB and get it inspected soon before the light comes back.

First thing I’d do is disconnect the IAC motor/valve and look at the condition of the connection. Make sure it is clean and there is no corrosion.

I guess its the two connectors on the side of the throttlebody???  
I cleaned the contacts and connectors on the female side best as possible. No signs of corrosion.
