I have a 2005 honda civic hybrid and am wondering how long a life the battery has and how much will it cost to replace it - does anyone know?

They are expensive to replace. Most seem to have a good warranty on them, so you should check on that for your car.

I have been very pleasantly surprised by the reliability of the batteries and the whole hybrid system. While I am not a big fan of hybrids, I have to say they did a great job on the new technology.

I would have to guess that we really don’t know what the life is yet as so few have failed.
