I have a 2003 VW Jetta. Lately the turn signal goes whacky after I turn - instead of clicking off, the clicker clicks really fast and sporadically for awhile and sometimes randomly on its own when I haven’t even it used the signal for awhile. The signal lights are not flashing inside or outside the car, it’s just the sound. I tried replacing the signal fuse, but that didn’t help. Any ideas?

On some vehicles when the flasher is flashing very fast it’s an indicator that a bulb is bad.

Try replacing the flasher.
