No wonder the price has gone from 10 for a buck to 5 for a buck!

That Food Channel program should challenge their contestants to make something edible out of that stuff. That would require thinking out of the… bag.

I’m curious about the bridge clearence and the trailer height, though. It’s very rare these days for enclosed trailers to hit bridges. Aren’t all trailers \<13’6"? Large oversized loads require escorts on state and federal highways in Mississippi.

See [http://11foot8.com/](http://11foot8.com/) for a notorious low bridge in Durham, NC. As of 11/20/2015, 99 (yes, ninety-nine!) videos have been posted of unfortunate incidents.

In my hometown of Wichita, KS, there is one with a 12-foot clearance that occasionally gets hit:

> **[Truck becomes lodged in underpass on Waterman (+video)](http://www.kansas.com/news/local/article29931604.html)**
>
> Yet another truck became stuck after trying to negotiate the railroad underpass on Waterman near Rock Island, police said Tuesday.

We have a RR bridge a little north of town that gets hit almost every year.
This is in Mapleton, Wi… 12’ 8’’ high.

You would think it would be wise to put some kind of lazer above the road that would trigger flashing lights on the height sign a 1/4 mile back.

What, and stop he revenue stream from all the citations, and repair reimbursements? Not to mention the free entertainment factor.

I frequently drive South River Road between my small town and the State Capitol. There are 2 viaducts where railroad tracks cross overhead. When crossing a bridge over the river from my town there is a prominent sign. “WARNING 12’ 3” vertical clearance 1 mile" plus another identical sign at 1/2 mile. The overpass is also plainly marked 12’ 3". A few months ago a WalMart tractor/trailer 13’ 6" high tried to go under it (ugly mess)! The driver stated he was following his GPS. He should have been looking at the signs, not his GPS! I know what happened. He was travelling from the WalMart 12 miles West of me to the WalMart 12 miles East of me. His GPS gave him the shortest route. I had read an article about a GPS for truckers that gave any weight, length, height, and width restrictions on the chosen route. He must have purchased his GPS at WalMart for $29.95.

There’s this Railroad bridge in Liverpool NY on Old Liverpool road. It’s been hit so many times over the decades. Every few years they add a new prevention measure to stop the trucks from hitting it. The bridge is very low at 10’ 9". They have at least 10 warning signs…flashing lights…and laser to detect a truck that’s too high…but every once in a while someone still hits the bridge.

If you don’t see that one…you’re blind.

But someone will be gawking at something other than the road and take out that nice new sign.

This one is even better laughs. Five minutes of rolling on the floor.

The driver cannot own that rig himself???

All those parts should tell you you are doing more harm than good.
