Received a letter from Honda Care over the weekend acknowledging my cancellation and promising a refund within 2 weeks, which is actually quicker than I expected. But they are giving me back only the $2400, without tax.
I will have to call them tomorrow and see what the deal is. After all, if you return merchandise to a store, you get the tax paid back too.
You pay sales tax on insurance in your location? How much sales tax was collected as shown on the sales contract for the service contract?
Just wanna follow up for this. Honda Care issued a check to Honda Finances pretty quick for $2400. I separately called the dealership to get my tax refund, which they complied with without problem. So I now have successfully gotten my full refund quicker and easier than I expected. So kudos to Honda.
