# Honda CRV 2003

Dear Car-Talkers,

My daughter’s Honda CRV 2003 recently started having the following problem. When driving, we can hear a click and the engine light will turn on (briefly) and at the same time the car will slightly accelerate (just a small push) like somebody is pressing the gas pedal. Everything will continue to be normal until the whole thing happens again a few minutes later (click + engine light on + small acceleration). This will happens, each time more frequently, until the car finally stalls. I can then turn on the car and continue driving until it happens again, and again. As always, I took the CRV to the Honda dealer and they haven’t been able to reproduce the problem. My daughter is afraid of driving her car … any clues?
