Hello,
So about a year ago I bought a new Honda Accord…The trunk smells like new tennis shoes and has not lessened in a year. I cannot circulate the air or the smell will travel up into the car…anyone know what the smell is and how to get rid of it-I don’t find it pleasing:)

Is there any dampness in the trunk, like under the board where the spare tire is?

If weather and location allow, you might want to open the trunk lid and let it air out for awhile. If you have a light in the trunk, find a way to disable it for the time you’ve got it open

Its probaly the liner, can you take it out and hang it on a clothes line for awhile?A week or two in the actinic rays of the sun should knock most volatiles out-Kevin
