Is the minivan heavier to drive (puts more pressure on the right knee when accelerating)than other smaller cars and sedans just because of its comparably larger body and weight? My right knee is killing me and I believe it is my Toyota Sienna which feels heavy to accelerate.

Check out another Sienna. It could be a problem with the car. I also could be that Sienna’s have heavier springs.

I have never noticed any general difference.

I don’t understand the question ? What does your right knee have to do with the weight of the car during acceleration ?

The size and weight of the vehicle has nothing to do with the spring on the throttle mechanism.

It’s more likely to be the driving position than the throttle spring. Why would the spring make your knee hurt?
