Greetings Folks. 97 Town Car started making noise under the right side dashboard like someone is kicking and the temp is erratic. Sounds like a solenoid to a vent door or some such. Is this an easy fix or should I send it out? And, any other opinions? Great car otherwise. Thanks Much, Dworkin

Close, the blend door is probably broken hanging up the stepper motor. I am not too familiar with it, but folks at [www.crownvic.net](http://www.crownvic.net) will be able to help you. IIRC, you may be able to check it out by removing the glove box and feeling it our or maybe see it with a flashlight and mirror.
