# "Ha! We're back."

Ray always comes back on air about mid-show with this remark. It’s the “Ha!” that I’m curious about. Anyone know the background on this?

No matter the background for his comment, I hope you realize that what you are listening to was recorded as long as 20 years ago. On Sirius/XM radio, they are currently airing Car Talk programs from 1993.

Ray does this to wake his sleepy brother, Tom, from his doze. They’ve talked about this on the show.

I’ve always thought that it was: “Hi!, We’re back!” - and the “eye” comes out as an “ah” with a Boston accent.
