# Grinding Sound

Sometime there is a low grinding sound when I start my 04 Taurus–not always, just sometimes. Why? Oh and I just installed a new battery.

Do You hear it Grinding While The Engine Is “Cranking”, Prior To Actually Running, Or Do You Hear It After It Starts Running?

How often does it happen?
