So . . how fast is an electric golf cart? What is the range? How long to re-charge the battery system? I just read a post about a guy who did a conversion from a standard golf cart to a '57 Chevy replica (smaller of course) and it has me thinking . . . I have a friend with a Porsche Speedster replica (VW based) in boxes, body parts, electrics, wheels, interior parts . . . no engine, donor VW in parts also. Do I have too much time on my hands? Yes you have too much time on your hands.

Personally I usually walk…but a golf cart can usually go 2 rounds of golf on a full charge. That’s about 12-20 miles depending on the terrain. Top speed is about 15-20mph. There’s usually governors to keep the speed down.

I’ve seen those kits. A couple people have them at some of the campgrounds we go to during the summer.
