Gas tax suspension

Not SOME - MOST won’t have income adjusted for that inflation factor.

Keep the tax on diesel since trucks do much of the damage to roads. At least anything to do with sunken down asphalt. The cracking on residential streets is probably more to do with age, but I’m not an expert.

I prefer high fuel prices even if it is from taxes in exchange for lowering other taxes. Burning fuel causes pollution, large vehicles are a safety hazard, and so on.

And you get your consumables via carrier pigeon?

You realize that virtually everything you own, eat, wear, and use got to where it is on a diesel truck?

Even the regular unleaded gas you put in your econobox got to the gas station in a diesel tanker truck.

The price of filling up a car isn’t the big issue. It’s that the transportation cost of everything else in our lives is dependent on fuel costs.

One country cannot - and should not - be the world’s cop.

And what better way is there to disincentivize all of those things and promote more local economies with less use of transportation?

According to the two biggest multinational oil companies, when it comes to the price of oil/gas… The worst is yet to come for consumers worldwide.

Sounds good “on paper”. Would require a lot of land clearing where I live, to start raising hogs, then building a slaughter house. Disposal of waste products, again where I live, we are spending nearly $50million/year to cleanup existing environmental destruction/polution. We have a few, very few, cattle, last substantial cattle land was sold off to creat new suburbs and apartment complexes with accompanying strip malls and home centers, all served by diesel trucks. I don’t even now if there is a rail yard within 200 miles, but our trains are diesel.
