So I took my car in for an Oil Change and they told me there was a gas leak. I believe this because my car has smelled like gas for a month now and it was making me nervous. They are taking the fuel tank out so they can see what is causing the leak. Just taking the fuel tank out they say with cost $240.00. Does that sound reasonable?

Where are you having this work done? It’s not at a quick-lube place, I hope.

Well, its a Midas. Most recent update: there is a tear in my gas tank from driving over something. I know it sounds a little fishy because a gas tank costs almost $600 however, I drive my car pretty hard and have driven too fast over speed humps and other stuff. Considering my driving i believe them.
