I have a 2005 Toyota Sienna. After the big check-up where the timing belt was replaced I smell gas fumes in the car’s cabin. I smell it when my heater and air conditioner are on but I don’t smell it all the time. It smells the worst when the car has been driven a bit and I’m at a stop light. I’ve had my mechanic and the Toyota dealership check it out and they can’t find anything. It worries me.

Can you smell it if you open the hood and put your nose down in the engine comptartment?

Ask your mechanic to check all the hoses and connections to the “Carbon Canister”. Check the “fuel rail” for any sign of leakage.
