Fuel gauge suddenly goes to zero or empty although tankful of gas. This happens several times. Dealer diagnosed fuel sensor problem. GM won’t cover repairs, not even on Goodwill. I have never experienced this problem on any of my other cars (Toyota, Nissan, Dodge, Ford, etc). I only have less than 40,000 miles. Anyone has the same problem? Thanks for any fedback.

Yes, I’ve got a 2006 Malibu LE with the same problem and its been getting worse. Today the gauge was jumping around like a squirrel on expresso. For the past few weeks I’ve been using the trip odometer to keep accurate track of gas consumption.
