Hi – What is a fair price to pay a mechanic to replace front brake pads and rotors? My dad’s mechanic in MN would charge only $150, but I live in MI and have been quoted – for parts and labor – $215, $300, $436, and $490.

Parts prices among car brands vary widely. How about telling us year, make, model of car?
