I have a 2003 Ford Taurus. I don’t know what this is, but it’s on the passenger side, near the firewall. It’s a junction between 3 lines and the bottom line is only about 8 inches long and not connected to anything. Attached is a picture. Any help is appreciated.

The tan vacuum check valve at the firewall has a cap on the port toward the left in the photo and the taped up line laying free appears to belong on that check valve. Does your heater/AC/defrost switch properly?

The port on the left has a line, it just curves back where you cant see it and looks like a cap in the picture. The taped line is for the windshield washers (it’s split in about 6 places). The heater, defrost nor ac work.
