I had the same problem with the same car it ended up being broken wires in the trunk. The wiring harness twist went the trunk opens an closes you may need to cut open the harness to find it.

Stephen , on this site we have no idea who or what you are replying to . If it was something on the show those have been reruns for years . If Ray’s newspaper column it is not in every newspaper .
