One of the big disadvantages of winter tires, other than noise in some models, is decreased gas mileage. It’s often one of those trade offs you make. ---

Unfortunately, you had to go to Caribou to enjoy them. Not that it’s a bad place, but the name tells you all you need to know about about it. ---

I would never move back there. It’s hard enough for me to walk in the snow in Southern Maine. I was stationed way up there and did not know that there was a California with a West Coast. They can’t cook out West but if you look hard enough you will find a steak that hasn’t been Oak Pit Barbecued and over seasoned. Mattie’s Tavern in Los Osos can do steak. I think it’s in Los Osos.
