I have a 94 F150 w/ 4.9L 5spd std.

My son wrecked his 79 mustang and I wqould like to put the 5.0 in my truck.

Will the 5.0 bolt up to the existing trans?

 Will the Mustang trans work?

 Any suggestions?

Try a Ford truck board.

The switch will be somewhat difficult and costly. And you probably won’t be happy with the performance loss. The Ford 4.9L in a truck is hard to beat. Why do you wish to make the switch? Is the 6 cylinder worn out?
