I don’t care who wrote this article, the tips are in fact useful. The writer didn’t seem to promote the company. I was trying to be helpful, I spent a few days on researching extended auto warranty before I bought mine and decided to go with endurance. Thought i’ll share my experience with people who are still searching for one… Didn’t see that the discussion is so old though

Another thing, i was told that not all manufacturers offer extended warranty, they give their own warranty when you buy a car and extend it through a different company. Dealers have contracts with Warranty Direct, Carchex, Endurance and other companies that are backed up by other insurance companies. Just ask a dealer when you are purchasing a warranty.
