Ha! Your real name is Dilbert!
This kind of service is also hard on the battery.
Not enough time to thoroughly charge.
It’s good idea to charge the battery for a few hours each month or two, especially in cold weather.
That is by far my favorite cartoon…I can’t tell you how many of those cartoons are so true.
Yes they were…BUT the engineers KNEW there was a problem and voiced their concerns to management which basically ignored them…While testifying before congress one of those engineers bought with him a stack of e-mails and documents showing how several of the engineers involved tried to warn management of the problem.
I’ve seen the same thing myself…Companies I’ve worked for shipped faulty products under the protest of engineering…which later burned us as we lost customers and spent more money fixing the problem after the fact then if we could have just spent 3 days fixing it before it was shipped…Thank God nothing we did could have killed anyone…just caused problems with our overall system.
So you never replaced a starter, alternator, exhaust system, etc. on any of your vehicles prior to 100K?
I should have been more specific…Starting in 87 when my wife bought her Accord…(My 84 S-15 had a lot of problems before 100k miles)…but since then…yes I’ve NEVER had to replace a alternator or starter or exhaust system for the first 100k miles…Since 87 for the vehicles we’ve bought…I’ve never replaced a starter or alternator for any vehicle no matter how many miles (most well over 250k miles)…
Now I will clarify…I’m NOT talking about normal maintenance items like brakes or batteries…Just repairs…things that mechanically fail.
