Sometimes the process of replacing the fuel pump can dislodge gunk which gets into the fuel lines and clogs the fuel filter, and possibly some could sneak through to the carb too. If I had your symptoms on my Ford truck, and given the work you’ve recently had done, the first thing I’d try, I’d replace the fuel filter (even though it is fairly new) and install a replacement or rebuilt carb. There’s an excellent chance those two changes will immediately fix these symptoms.

i’ll pick up a fuel filter tomorrow. the reman carb made a difference, but it’s still there, just less
