# Engine still running

So yesterday I noticed that when I got out of my car 2012 Chevrolet Equinox that the engine was still running even though I took the key out but nothing else was on no lights radio etc. it ran for between a minute or two and then turned off on it’s own. Does anyone know what could cause this?

Does it have remote start? Are you sure it’s not the engine cooling fan running after engine shutdown?

It does not have a remote start. Also I’m not sure but I’ve never noticed it before that’s what threw me off.

Then I don’t know what the problem is if it had a turbo it could be turbo spin down timer.
