Actually, just happened to have been looking at some of the REAL-LIFE choices: ``` ``` See minute 5:14 of above for larger machines. ``` ``` These machines immediately fit in certain niches: indoor operation (no exhaust) and quiet zones (hospitals, schools, and overnight emergency use in residential areas), and much less vibration for operators. The challenges will be charging and cost, both both seem to being solved fairly quickly. Will be the future, no doubt. Open-pit mining with 100 ton trucks and no need to be quiet and all outdoor, will probably be the last to switch over to electric, esp. with advances in battery technology. Fossil fuelā€¦on its way outā€¦ ---

I think there will be fossil fuels used for at least another one hundred years. It wonā€™t be as much as now, but there are applications that require them. ---
