# Electrical or other?

When the remote will not open the car door but with the turn of the key the dash board lights do come on, however the car will not start,what could this be?

What year Lesabre? What exactly happens when you turn the key? How old is the battery? Have you had any recent problems with the car?

The LaSabre is an 05. When I turned the key the dash board lights came on , but the engine did not come on. The battery is the orginial but it has been checked several times. Another time once when I was driving the security light came on and dinged three times. When I went to get out of the car I had to use the mamuel opener to get out. The repair shop thinks I have a short but they could not find it. Right now the car is fine.

Is the an OEM security system or an aftermarket?
