Eleanor has gone to a new home… We donated our 1985 Toyota Corolla LE (my wife named her “Eleanor”) with 230,000 miles on the odometer. We bought her new back in the summer of '84 for about $7,100 and she had all the bells and whistles offered. ![20230429_102730](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/cartalk/original/3X/9/6/967ace576bacb360fedc4cc49d39e87ac7325ea8.jpeg) She has been a good and faithful car and always got us home… But after 40-years, she was really feeling her age… We only took her out once a month to keep the seals wet and never too far from home… But with four other vehicles and only two drivers, it was a waste of garage space and it was time to move her on to a new home where she could be useful… Like our RV that we donated to Eggleston about 15-years ago, we donated the ‘85 Toyota to Eggleston Automotive to be auctioned off and for good measure; we donated a 17’ Mad River, Kevlar Canoe. ![car and canoe](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/cartalk/original/3X/e/8/e81270a6f5eff91722b333f65ec0f83a6584259c.jpeg) Eggleston sent a tilt back truck to pick her and the canoe up… Good Bye………… ![Goodby car](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/cartalk/original/3X/b/7/b77dca7c5c3b3a69f70cddf35f9b74686f02f750.jpeg) And here is a copy of the Auction Web Page.
