AI is a tool to educate and inform. I guarantee you that if your surgeon isn’t using AI, then he/she is referencing a medical book or video or notes. They do NOT memorize EVERYTHING.
I’d rather my surgeon reference a medical text or notes than reference Anti-Intelligence.
Maybe you actually learn about AI before you make those comments. Ignorance is bliss.
‘‘Artificial Intelligence” is like “Alternative facts”.
Neither phrase makes any sense.
You need to learn about focused AI which is trained by experts on specific topics.
I will go clear out these words from the list.
Actually it’s kind of fun to guess what was posted. You are probably too young to remember the Nixon Whitehouse Tape transcripts, nearly every sentence included an “expletive deleted”.
You really shouldn’t make comments on something you clearly know nothing about.
That is a slang term for a part of the female anatomy. The Discourse platform is used for many subjects of conversation other than automotive, words with inappropriate innuendo are filtered out.
In the past there have been a select few forum members who search for dirty words to flag and to notify the moderator, now they have nothing to do.
I find alot of times that people do not want to have dialog when you initially back your argument with irrefutable solid facts.
@ChrisTheTireWhisperer and @Old-Days-Rick do NOT provide solid irrefutable facts
They’re here to vent
I will defend Chris on this, all of us should know that back around 2019 lies were redefined as “alternate facts”.
If he is a “World Class GM Technician” and isn’t familiar with the tire placard on every car I don’t believe it.
For all of my pedantry about maintaining correct tire pressures, I would be remiss by not confessing that it took me 14 years to finally look closely at those stickers/placards affixed to my drivers door pillar, in 2000, on my 1996 Ford Contour.
Up until then, I just filled anything round and rubber on my cars to 35psi(which the majority of passenger tires had stamped on their sidewalls as “max cold pressure” back then).
I leaned over, and read the placard: Front: 31psi, Rear: 34psi
So I lowered the pressures from whatever sky-high number I had them set to previously, and after 2-3 days at the vehicle-specific pressures, driving that Contour was a revelation: smoother ride, but more predictable handlng, at any speed.
So yes, I was just like that GM mechanic. I didn’t know until I read that sticker!
I think nearly everyone over the age of ten knows that, along with name of aquatic mammals that build dams, and a term for domestic felines.
Because nothing ever goes wrong during a surgical procedure…
As Ali famously said- Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face
Mike Tyson said that, not Ali, and it was mouth, not face. Close enough location though.
Oops, you’re right about the source of course. There sure is a lot of controversy as to the exact quote however. I found this:
Apparently what Mike Tyson actually said in a 1987 interview was, “Everybody has plans until they get hit for the first time”. In any case this is still a variant of the common theme of “No plan survives first contact with the enemy”, ascribed variously to von Moltke or von Clausewitz.
You can find both face and mouth being used. I still like face ![]()
And you call yourself a “tire whisperer”.
