I have a 2003 dodge ram and this lightning bolt indicator light next to the fuel gauge started flashing. I do not have an owner’s manual. What is it?

It might be wise to consult a dealer about it, but my guess is something with the electrical/charging system. Probvably the system voltage has moved out of range for some reason.

I also would say that it means that the charging system needs to be checked. I would do that ASAP since you may not be charging the battery now when you are running the truck and you may kill the battery.
