Our 2006 Dodge Durango (94000 miles, V8 5,7 l Hemi) shutters when you’re letting of the gas pedal. Occasional the car shuts off, we notice it by the power steering not working, while driving down the road, mostly when the engine is still cold. We noticed that the AC won’t turn on unless the car has been driving for a while. Also the console lights start flickering and the check engine light comes on. The dealership hooked it up to the computer but couldn’t figure out what it going on or why the check engine light is coming on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The check engine light comes on when the ignition is on, but engine is not running, or when a diagnostic trouble code is set. You’re about ready for new spark plugs, so maybe start there.

All the things you mentioned are belt driven. I would replace the belts and tensioner.
