… or it is a _Depth Perception_ problem?  
I wonder if the OP’s daughter has had her vision tested recently by a qualified Opthalmologist.

I bought my first car with my own money when I was 17. My Morris Minor. I wish someone would have stopped me. I could see fine though over the dash.
