Actually, the thing is pretty stiff. I couldn’t push it back down with my hand. So I don’t think weights will work. Good idea though.

Right. I mean, I’d PREFER it if it didn’t look trashy. But I’m not going to worry about it if I put some duct tape over it. Then I may try that cover at a later date, because why not try and make it look nicer? But it’s not a big concern of mine.
You want to heat it some but not enough to make a puddle of goo. You can try a hair dryer but the one in your bathroom probably doesn’t provide enough heat. Industrial heat guns provide a lot more heat and might work, but use care because the dash really might melt. It might also decompose. It’s not clear whether the dash is a thermosetting resin or thermoplastic resin. I’d guess thermoplastic and then it would become flexible upon heating. Rent a heat gun from Home Depot or a tool rental store if they have them. Wear a thick glove and try to press the warped dash down often.
