Hello, I got in my 2002 Volvo XC70 and nothing on the dashboard was illuminated and the dials (for gas and temp) were at 0 (or on the far left). I stopped the car and started it again and everything was illuminated for a minute and then went out. Later on, during my very short drive to work, I turned on my right turn signal the illumination went back on. Also, the radio switches channels spontaneously. Are these very simple fuse issues or iare they serious? I am getting ready to go on a road trip and was worried. The car runs fine. Thank you! BaltoJulia

From what you say about the problem it appears to be due to a bad connection to power somewhere. It could be on the power side or the ground side of the circuit. There may be a relay involved and the contacts inside it may be dirty. I think there is a power panel under the hood and under a cover near the windshield. There may be some relays and fuses inside there. You might be able to find the problem area by tapping on suspected trouble spots using a screwdriver handle. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find the problem.
