Agreed. Think of this, when you’re sitting still, you’re getting a whopping zero miles per gallon.

Obviously, the OP did not read my original post very thoroughly, since he/she states that his/her driving style is not to blame for the absurdly low gas mileage. Please allow me to restate the first point in my original post:

Since the OP admits to “15 minute warm-ups” and then driving only about 1/2 mile, it is all very clear. This person will never be able to achieve decent gas mileage under those conditions, and of course, the exhaust system will rot out very early and the engine will have an early demise unless the oil is changed at least every 3 months–regardless of the odometer reading.
