# Crunching clutch on Honda

I have a relatively new Honda Accord – 23,000 miles. The clutch is making a distinct crunching sound especially, but not exclusively, when the car is cold. I’ve had two other Accords and this didn’t happen with them. The dealer says there’s nothing to worry about but I’m wondering if he’s putting me off until we are past warranty? Anybody else with this experience?

Any chance this noise is in the clutch pedal itself (bushing, etc)? If so, some lube would help.  
The majority of clutch problems do not fall into the warrantable category anyway as that is considered a wear/tear item like brakes, etc.
