is there a problem with leaving the cruise control active even though you have not set it? ---

I haven’t noticed any, because that is the way it works on at least one of my cars. ---

Not really except if you hit the button accidently or resume if previously set. ---

‘No worries mate.’ I have never had issues on my 92 Explorer. I’ll set the cuise on the way to Albuquerque and in a pack of traffic just tap the brake to return to gas pedal driving and if that last 40 or 50 miles or so it pops right back to speed when I hit resume.
