how do you replace the water pump on a 1997 nissan pickup 2.4 liter.

You take off the old water pump and put on a new one.

Perhaps you can just pick up a repair manual and check it out. You can also just try Autozone’s free online repair info. It will likely give you the basic steps involved.

Remove the air inlet duct.

Remove the belts.

Remove the fan/fan clutch.

Remove the power steering pump/pump bracket.

Remove the the lift bracket from the front of the engine.

Remove the upper radiator hose from the water pump.

Remove the water pump mounting bolts.

Remove the water pump.

Tester

Re-install in the reverse order above.
