how long does one have to wait to wash and wax after having a paint job and clear coat? Also, if clear coat is applied to a boat, how long before the boat can be back on the water?

About six weeks for the layers to fully cure. During this time, you can still rinse the new paint with just water. After that, you can use any auto washing/wax product.

How long before the boat is put back in the water? About six weeks.
