hi there – this morning i noticed my 96 civic was vibrating a little when i accelerated, and the check engine light is on. last night, i drove through my slightly flooded street (maybe a foot of water at the deepest spot, for like 10 seconds?) – could they be related? thanks!

A FOOT of water? Yeah, they definitely could be related. Time to go get that check engine light diagnosed and see what codes the ECM is throwing.
